Southampton secure excellent 8th place in the Arena League Premier division Southampton travelled to Horsham on the 12th December for the final round of the 2009 National Arena Swimming League and achieved a great second place on the night, and overall 8th place in the division.

WOW ! What a GREAT TEAM RESULT AND TEAM EFFORT!
Well done to you ALL. This IS the Best Result City of Southampton SC have achieved as a whole team for ……well about 2 decades.
I have always maintained that WE have the potential and now the programme to produce good results and compete with the best. Let’s be under no illusions this is a superb result that as a WHOLE CLUB we should recognise was a big step forward in our continued progression.
What with the recent employment of our new Assistant Head Coach Allan Whelan and the results that we have achieved in 2009, the future is looking very good.

Overall this excellent performance, together with great results in rounds one and two have meant that Southampton secured 8th place in the National Arena Swimming League South-Eastern Region.
